Overview

Nestled on the picturesque coastline with the waves hugging to the east and the lush green rolling hills to the west you will find the popular coastal resort town, Kiama. Only 90 minutes from Greater Sydney, the name Kiama is from its Wodi Wodi Indigenous name Kiaram-a, to which some sources give the meaning “where the sea makes a noise”— a reference to the famous Kiama Blowhole. The town has endless attractions, with many pristine beaches, rockpools, parks, the popular Kiama Coastal Walk from Minnamurra in the north through to Gerringong in the south, beautiful historic buildings, Minnamurra Rainforest and Jamberoo Action Park just a short drive. Awash with cafes, restaurants and boutique shops, the town is no secret and is a very attractive destination for Sydney day-trippers and holiday makers. Kiama still retains the charm of an historic seaside town with the beautiful boat harbour popular with keen fisherman and families to explore. The hinterland behind the town is dominated by lush green dairy pastures and rolling hills, providing plenty of spectacular vantage lookout points over the entire Illawarra region.

In the last 2016 census Kiama had a population of nearly 8,000 and almost 4,000 dwellings. However proving to be a very desirable location to live and the increase in property sales and rentals we anticipate the growth to be exponential in the most recent figures.
