Suburb Profile – Shoalhaven Heads

Shoalhaven Heads is a sleepy little coastal village stretching along the northern bank of the Shoalhaven River and straddled by the beautiful Seven Mile Beach stretching down from Gerroa. With many recreational options on your doorstep and an emphasis on swimming, fishing, camping, horse riding on the beach, golf and boating, you will never find yourself bored.

The relaxed coastal vibe is popular with retirees and more recently families sprawling down from the northern suburbs. There is also an offering of many beautiful wineries shadowing the town and the famous town of Berry is only a short 15 minute drive.

Surprisingly the 2016 census recorded just over 3,000 residents and 1,700 dwellings with a median age of 56. We sure to see some changes in demographics in the 2021 census with an increase in families finding this sleepy town ever more attractive.
